Silvermouse – Beyond – Good Music Radar – The Netherlands

Nov 25, 2023

Silvermouse is a livetronica duo that tap into psychedelic frequencies of music. With a combination of live instrumentation, electronica, and stimulating beat lines, they fathom a colorful world that is profoundly cerebral and visceral vision. In their latest album, ‘Beyond’, Silvermouse and Monroe Institute create cascading frames of surreal music.

Enigmatic strings of violin, mandolin, guitar, and ukulele mix in with synths, oozing basslines, and contemporary flute. The compositions are in a state of constant fluidity, breaking in and out of formlessness, evolving, and transcending. It lapses time and space to imagine a new plane of motion, measurement, and comprehension. It has a remarkable redolence to experimental pioneers of the 70s like Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, UFO, and Led Zeppelin.

Tracks like ‘Primrose was our Goat’ and ‘Snake Grass’ have prominent electronic elements that stem from deep conceptual spaces. Other tracks like ‘Druids Rising’ ‘Beyond the Dream Drum’, and ‘Brew 42’ involve long form narratives with compelling instrumentals, shoegaze attires and layered percussion. Listen Now!

Silvermouse debuted in 2009 with a self-titled album and has since defined their style with references to space exploration, ethereal imagery, and a deep understanding of abstractness. They have since released three albums and many singles.

The track is available for streaming on popular sites like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
